All:
I believe in the past I've sang the praises of listener-sponsored,
free-form WFMU around here. IMO, it's the only radio worth listening to
-- everything else is just ear candy (I'm not a fan of any of the
classic rock/alt rock/whatever format "Jack" is, but switch around.)
One of FMU's DJs, Glen Jones (Jonesy, is also a big CT fan (he became a
convert or "born again," not sure which, a few years back) and always
gives airplay on his weekly Sunday show, at least 1-2 songs per a 3
hour show.
Case in point: this week, Jonesy played both Terry Reid's AND CT's
versions of "Speak Now..." back to back. Hearing Terry Reid's version
was a cool thing; hearing CT's afterwards was even better.
To check out WFMU, visit their website: www.wfmu.org You can check out
yesterday's show on the Archives page, plus also download samples on
various DJ pages (Glen Jones does have a page with old archives,
including his interview with Rick Nielsen a few years ago.)
